Celebrations Continue at the Akkineni Home as Akhil Ties the Knot with Zainab Ravdjee
Wedding festivities have once again lit up the illustrious Akkineni household. After the grand wedding of Naga Chaitanya, it is now his younger brother Akhil Akkineni’s turn to embark on a new journey with his fiancée, Zainab Ravdjee.
The couple, who got engaged in a private ceremony on November 26, 2024—just days before Chaitanya’s wedding on December 4—are tying the knot today, June 6, 2025.
While the focus was on the bride and groom, the energetic baarat celebration caught everyone’s attention, especially due to Nagarjuna’s lively presence. Dressed in a traditional kurta, the 64-year-old superstar showcased his signature charm by dancing enthusiastically to DJ beats, bringing infectious energy to the event. Naga Chaitanya joined in the fun, managing the fog machine and dancing alongside his father, turning the festivities into a memorable spectacle.
After a night full of celebrations, Naga Chaitanya resumed his duties as a proud brother early the next morning. Accompanied by his wife, actress Sobhita Dhulipala—who looked radiant in a glittering golden saree—he arrived at the venue. Chaitanya looked dapper in a cream kurta. Several celebrities including Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, and Surekha were also seen gracing the occasion.
The wedding is taking place at the family’s cherished Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, a location filled with legacy and love, established by Akhil’s grandfather, the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Notably, this is also where Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita were married last year.
The bride, Zainab Ravdjee, is a multi-talented individual—an artist, entrepreneur, and former actress—who hails from a respected Hyderabad-based business family. Her father, Zulfi Ravdjee, is a renowned industrialist.
Following the wedding, Akhil Akkineni will return to films with Lenin, an upcoming action drama directed by Murali Kishore Abburu and co-starring Sreeleela, scheduled for release in November 2025.
