YouTuber and actor Bhuvan Bam addressed online rumors head-on after Reddit users speculated that he had undergone plastic surgery to alter his facial features.
A Reddit thread had gone viral, featuring a side-by-side comparison of Bhuvan’s past and present photos, with users questioning if he had cosmetic procedures done. One post sarcastically said, “Don’t tell us it’s just diet and ageing,” suggesting that the transformation was too drastic to be natural.
Responding directly to the speculation, Bhuvan took to Reddit to clarify. He wrote, “Hi friends, I had a great time reading all your comments about my supposed ‘surgery.’ I’ll admit, even I was surprised by how different I look now. But the change is due to 60 minutes of cardio, one hour of strength training, and a strict diet. It really works, trust me.”
He further explained, “Also, the second photo being used for comparison is nearly 10 years old, so naturally, my appearance has evolved. However, I did recently undergo a minor lip surgery to remove a mucocele, a painful boil, because I’m prepping for a role and needed to achieve a particular look.”
Bhuvan ended his statement humorously, “Thanks for your wild guesses—basically swinging sticks in the dark. Take care, everyone. Lots of love.”
Earlier this year, in February, Bhuvan shared a mirror selfie saying he was working on his physique, captioning it, “Kaam jaari kyunki kaam bhaari (The work continues because the work is heavy).” In March, he posted a photo dump with updates including, “Adjusting to this new look,” “Got a surgery done,” and “Took Dixie for a walk.”
On the professional front, Bhuvan was last seen in “Taaza Khabar” Season 2 on Disney+ Hotstar, which aired in September 2024. His recent social media activity suggests he is gearing up for a significant new project, though details remain under wraps.
